Tahoe Hybrid gets $4,000 Cash Back Rebate

2008 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid The Tahoe Hybrid’s twin brother, the GMC Yukon Hybrid, also gets the same treatment.  To be clear, this rebate is what’s called an “Owners Loyalty” rebate.  You only get the cash if you trade in a GM product.  I’ll admit to being baffled by that completely.  So GM will reward loyal GM customers, but won’t reward the guy who is finally convinced to trade in his Toyota for a GM hybrid?  The mind boggles.

Conventional Tahoes and Yukons get the loyalty cash too, as well as an additional $2000 rebate, for whopping $6k total.  And remember, that’s before the dealer discount.  With large SUV’s aging about as well as milk left out on your counter, dealer’s are cutting these deals too the bone if you show any interest.

The bottom line?  If for some insane reason you’re in the market for a big, honkin SUV – hybrid or not, it’s a buyer’s market.
