Twenty three years in a row, as a matter of fact. ‘Mericans sure love their Ford pickups, there’s no doubt about it. The Chevy Silverado usually falls in second or third. However, when you combine the GMC Sierra with the Silverado sales, the shared-platform duo usually edges out the F-150. Since the two trucks are “technically” different, Ford has held on to the best selling crown.

For the first six months of 2009, The Chevy Silverado is the best selling vehicle in America. With no help from the GMC Sierra, either. YTD Numbers look like this:
- Silverado: 119,959 units
- F-150: 107,778 units
