So much for the Cobalt being light years ahead of the Cavalier. Chevrolet is recalling over 98,000 Cobalts ( 2005-2006 coupe models ). Why? Well, you might die if you’re in a side collision. Granted, the affected models are those that were built without side curtain airbags. It seems the General’s favorite small car doesn’t meet federal requirements for padding in the roof.
Padding in the roof? Whatever. Chevy is fixing the problem by installing ‘energy absorbing plastic” in the headliner trim. I feel safer already, don’t you?
