Recall Notice: 2010 Ford Ranger

Ford is recalling just under 3,000 2010 Ranger pickup trucks with the manual transmission. This issue is potential severe – if it gets too cold, the parking brake cable could disconnect. For those who leave their trucks in neutral when parked, well, you know what happens next. All the more reason to leave it in first gear. That way, if the brake fails in some way, you’re still not going anywhere.

Owners of 2010 Rangers with a stick should contact their local dealer to get fixed up. As with any recall, there is no cost to you. Ford’s on the hook for this one.
