Quick site update

I made a few small stylistic changes to Houston Cars today.  I moved the sidebar over to the left, and I adjusted the margins a little bit.  Ultimately it created a little bit wider content area, and more room for content is always a good thing.

I’ve got a new theme on the drawing board, and I think it’s going to be impressive.  It’ll keep a large content area, and with any luck it will be even larger.  One of my main goals is to address the sidebar issue - the sidebar is currently way way too long.  Part of that is due to the vast number of categories on HC.  Let’s face it, there are a lot of automakers out there!  But the new design should help ease the pain.

I’m also going to go to a lot of trouble to reduce load times.  Currently I think Houston Cars loads up a little bit too slow on my EVDO connection.  For those of you suffering with dial-up, I can only imagine.  I’ll do my best to make the new look impressive, while cutting excess code and thus loading times.

I’m no expert coder / programmer/ designer though.  If you have some skills in the Wordpress / HTML / PHP/ CSS areas, and are interested in helping, please drop me a line so we can talk.  In any case, back to car news - enjoy!
