Nissan hikes GT-R MSRP by 7 Grand

nissan_gtr_02.lowres Dealer markups on the 2009 GT-R have been bordering on extreme - $10-$20k in many cases.  Nissan hasn’t been ignore this trend, and they’ve decided that they want a piece of the pie too.  The base MSRP jumps from $69,850 to $76,840.  Any orders placed before September 5th will still be delivered at the original lower MSRP - those who waited will be punished to the tune of seven grand.

Nissan’s official stance is increased material costs.  A couple hundred bucks, I’d buy.  Seven grand?  Just call it what it is - they priced it too low from the start.
