Nissan GT-R Spy Shots

Finally, a shot of Nissan’s upcoming halo car without all the body armor covering it’s bits. This is the Nissan GT-R, naked, as it were. It sounds like Nissan is aiming high with this car - really really high. Our best guess at this point is that the GT-R will used a modified version of the famous VQ engine, a 3.7 liter V6, twin-turbocharged. Power should come in around 450 horsepower - that’s no joke. This monster powerplant will be driving all four wheels, of course.

We haven’t confirmed it yet, but we heard a rumor that the GT-R will be available with paddle shifters - and 7 speeds to flip through. The big question that no one seems to have any sort of answer to is - how much?

I like the overall design of this car a lot… but the rear end needs some fine-tuning. Too many rough edges that need a little smoothing out. If Nissan polishes that up, we’ll have one sexy looking supercar.
