Well, they confirmed that they are going to produce a vehicle based on the concept CR-Z, at least. So the CR-X is coming back, in spirit at least - but with a fresh new look and a slick hybrid powertrain. This is the best news I’ve heard all day, and I can only hope that Honda won’t wait too long. ETA for the CR-Z is sometime in 2009 - so between a year and a half to 2 years away. Not too shabby, really.

And some additional news for green-minded folks - the Honda FCX production model will be on sale in 2008. Fuel cell cars are nearly here - they’re no longer some fantasy. If you want one, you might want to contact your local Honda dealer soon - I can see them being a hot commodity upon their release.
