Wowsers. In this, yet another massive recall, GM has announced the need to fix 275,936 vehicles. Which ones? A bunch, actually. Model year 2005-2007 Cadillac CTS, SRX, and STS, as well as MY 2006-2007 Pontiac Solstice, and also MY 2007 Saturn Sky vehicles are affected. The problem is a bad rear axle pinion seal that may cause a fluid leak. This could ultimately cause loss of control, which is never good when you’re piloting 3-4 thousand pounds of metal down the highway.
Recall notices will go out starting in early February. The fix is, as always, on GM’s dime.
