GM Recalls over 180k HHR’s

GM made the unfortunate announcement that they will be recalling 181,516 2006-2008 Chevy HHR.  Only HHR’s not equipped with optional side curtain airbags are affected, as they apparently don’t provide enough head impact protection.  The fix is an energy-absorbing peice of plastic that Chevy dealers will add to the headliner trim.

Recall notices should go out beginning in early March.  As always, your local Chevy dealer will take care of the problem at no charge to you.
