I’m about a week late on this one, but it’s worth writing a quick note about just the same.  GM announced last week that they’re recalling a whopping 313k vehicles - most in the US, but 38k elsewhere around the world.  Affected models include:

• 05-07 Cadillac CTS, STS, SRX
• 06-07 Pontiac Solstice & Saturn Sky

There’s some sort of problem with a seal on the rear axle pinion, which could make it likely to leak.  Apparently this could potentially make the driving wheels lock, which is a sure way to lose control of a vehicle.  If you’re driving on of the above vehicles, keep an eye on your mailbox for a fun little recall notice.  Repairs will, of course, be on GM’s dime.
