Due to 14 reported accidents, Ford is recalling a staggering 1.2 Million vehicles to replace a bad engine sensor. The affected vehicles include model years 1997-2003, and vehicle models Super Duty trucks, Excursion, and E-series vans, all equipped with the 7.3 liter Powerstroke diesel engine.
Aparently some sort of sensor can degrade over time, which will cause the engine to shut off. Not exactly a good thing when you’re hurtling down the highway at 70 MPH. If you’re driving an affected vehicle, Ford will be sending a letter to you by the end of the month.

Although it’s not nearly the news that the Ford recall is, Dodge has since recalled hundreds of thousands of trucks in the USA. Could this help Toyota’s push to sell another 20,000+ Tundra’s in December and crack the 200,000 barrier?
