Dodge Viper SRT-10 Mopar Concept

Everybody know’s I’m a V8 guy through and through. I love their power, I love their sound. But even I have a soft spot for this monster Viper. Meet the Viper SRT-10 Mopar concept – a 675 horsepower, 8.4 liter V-10 beast. I mean really, what isn’t to like here?

Just the displacement of this engine alone makes my head hurt… oh the sounds this magnificent creature must make. I wouldn’t mind a little behind the wheel time – anyone have a hook-up at Dodge?

I’ve heard several current Vipers and have always thought the engine actually sounded rather subdued and tinny for a v10.

Well there aren’t really a whole lot of V10’s around to compare when you get right down to it. I’ll always prefer the sound of a V8 to a V10 anyday of the week. But if Dodge decided to drop of this 675 HP V10 beast at my door, I wouldn’t turn them down.

Steve,
Good point about the Viper’s interior. If you’re looking for an upscale, polished interior with some flair, the Viper is not for you at all. Mercedez-benz makes some very fast cars with nice interiors – they’d probably be a better choice.

The Viper is all about tire-melting torque and raw power. Anything extra is superfluous and not included.
