Dodge Challenger SRT700 Turbo

challenger Sure, you’ve heard of the Dodge Challenger, and even the SRT8 version.  This car makes the SRT8 look absolutely tame and mild.  What you’re looking at is the Dodge Challenger SRT700 Turbo.  That’s right, SRT700, for 700 HP.  Actually the folks over at Hennessey ( the same who are responsible for this beast ) gave you an extra 25 HP.  Here are a couple specs for you to chew on:

  • 725 HP
  • 750 lb-ft of torque
  • 0-60 in 3.5 second
  • 1/4 mile in 11.3 seconds
  • Top speed: 190 MPH

What does Hennessey do to put out such stunning number?  For starters, they manage to squeeze some extra cubes from the 6.1 liter HEMI, and put it at a total 426 cubic inch displacement.  That’s over 50 extra cubes, if you’re counting.  Add to that forged pistons, forged rods, high flow heads, and a polished intake manifold.  Just to top it off, they slap on a 67mm Turbo, complete with air-air intercooler.  A few other fun upgrades, and you’re all set with the most bad-ass Challenger the world has seen yet.  How much will it cost?  That, my friends, is a mystery.  I will promise that, like all of Hennessey’s creations, it won’t come cheap.
