Chrysler canning 1,000 White collar workers

Chrysler is pulling out the axe again, and this time they’re targeting 1,000 white collar workers, mostly in Michigan.  And of course, this is in addition the the 10k blue-collar jobs that are already planned to be cut.  Ahh, job security.  Anyone know if Toyota’s hiring?

  1. Personally, I am sick of Toyota. They are not as lofty as people think that they are with all of their “secret” recalls over the years. The most recent being the Camry engine sludge issue that finally got brought to the light.

I’d take a Dodge Charger or Challenger any day over the Toyota Solara. Can you say, “ho hum?”

  2. Indeed - Toyota has been slipping in the quality department greatly in the recent past. And of course, if you look up “Vanilla” on Wikipedia, I’m sure you’ll find a picture the Camry and Corolla.

I hate dodge ( Viper notwithstanding ) , but I’m with you on the Charger vs Solara bit, 100%. Of course, I’d probably pick up an Altima 3.5SL over either of those ( now that’s a car with cajones and refinement ), but to each his own.
