Regular ‘Vette too slow for you?  Fine.  This fall you can begin to order a Callaway C16 Speedster, which is based on the current generation C6 Corvette.  Powering this super Vette is a supercharged 6.2 liter LS3 V8, good for an incredible 700 HP and 660 lb-ft of torque.  All that power gets you from 0-60 in 3.2 seconds - that’s supercar range, folks.  Top speed is > 210 MPH.  Though I’d have trouble recommending that you approach that speed - could you imagine the wind noise when the top is down? 

If you want to get your hands on this super-Vette, you’ll have to part with about $305,000 of your hard earned cash.  Considering the performance and what’s available on the market now, I’d say that’s a pretty reasonable deal.  However, if you can hold off just a little while for the new Z07 / Corvette SS that’s due out soon, you might want to do just that.  You’ll probably end up with 90% of the performance of the C16 for less than half the cost.
