There’s a rumor floating around that the next generation Corvette, dubbed the C7 by Corvette fans, will put out up to 700HP – naturally aspirated. I’m all for more power, I really am. As Carroll Shelby once said, “Too much power is almost enough.” I’m with you on that, big guy.
Why I am a little leery? Well, how many cars put out 700 HP in any form? Now, how many of them do it without forced induction? See where I’m going with this? We may end up seeing the first $150-200k Corvette, and that’s downright scary.

I’m all for it. Then, the Dodge Viper will be about 800 h.p. and a Shelby Mustang will be the first regular production car to top 1000 h.p.

Shoot, if they can do it and keep the price reasonable, then bring it by all means. I don’t want this HP race to end up with $90k Mustangs after all!
