2013 Ford Fusion EPA ratings

The 2013 Aston Martin, sorry, Ford Fusion finally has officially fuel economy ratings from the EPA. Since there’s a pile of engine and transmission combinations, there’s a pile of fuel economy ratings. Here we go:

  • 2.5 liter I4 / six speed auto: 22 / 34
  • 1.6 liter turbo I4 / six speed stick: 25 / 37
  • 1.6 liter turbo I4 / six speed auto: 23 / 36
  • 2.0 liter turbo I4 / six speed auto: 22 / 33
  • 2.0 Hybrid: 47 / 47

Like I said, a lot of choices. What you’re sure to notice is the high numbers across the board. 36 miles per gallon in a midsize car with an automatic? Forty seven combined for the hybrid? That’s nearly Prius-level fuel economy in a really, really good looking car.

The 2013 Fusion is really starting to look like a class leader. Several good engine choices (maybe too confusing, though) an amazing design, fantastic fuel economy. Things are definitely looking up at Ford these days.
