Toyota expected to get an EPA rating of 50 MPG for the new 2010 Prius –and they did. The EPA officially rated the 2010 Prius at 50 MPG city / 49 MPG highway. Things only get better from there. One of the big features of the new Prius is the ECO mode, which adjusts the throttle response and a/c function to increase efficiency further. The EPA doesn’t use ECO mode in their testing – which means real-world mileage has the potential to be much, much higher.
