While we’re still waiting for the official unveiling next week, here are some new pictures of the 2010 Mazdaspeed 3. Overall it’s a good look – though that hoodscoop is pretty massive for such a small car.
Horsepower is now expected to be 268 – up 5 ponies from the old version. We’re talking about the same 2.3 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder here – that’s a solid horsepower number from that small engine. There’s also a rumor of a fancy new suspension system that is supposed to nearly eliminate torque steer. If it’s successful then I’ll be quite impressed – 268 HP in a compact FWD car can be a handful otherwise. Enjoy the pics below – and keep an eye out for the official release next week.
