Did we say 268 horsepower? We meant to say 256 HP. That’s actually down a few from the 2009 model. Oops. Torque output will remain at a front tire-destroying 280 lb-ft, however. ( A big goofy grin just spread across my face, and I can’t stop it. )
Even though the wrong wheels are getting the power, 280 lb-ft of torque is just fantastic, especially in a compact. It might be time to head down to my local Mazda dealer to take one of these puppies for a spin soon.
