Like the Mazda CX-7 but don’t care for the thirsty turbocharged engine? Well, as long as you don’t mind the drop from 244 HP to 161, the new base 2.5 liter naturally aspirated 4 cylinder engine could be just what you’re looking for. Sure, you’ll have to suffer with 5 measly speeds instead of the 6 offered with the turbo engine. But the fuel economy bump will likely be pretty significant.
Besides the the engine, not much else has changed. The 2010 CX-7 does get the new corporate smiley-face, which may be a good or bad thing depending on your view. Pricing hasn’t been released yet, but you can expect a healthy discount from 09’s starting price.
