2010 Lexus HS250h Hybrid

2010-lexus-HS250h Lexus is quickly becoming known as the “hybrid” luxury brand.  It’s a title they’ve certainly earned – with far more hybrid models than any other luxury brand today.  The introduction of the HS250h elevates them to the next level – this is the first dedicated luxury hybrid.  As in, it’s not merely a hybridized version of an existing vehicle.

So, how did Lexus come up with the HS250h?  Well, theyy started with the 2010 Prius platform, and instead of making a funky luxury hatchback, they build a regular looking car.  A car that strongly resembles the Corolla, in fact.  Though I’m certain Lexus didn’t plan it that way.

Enough blabbering about the looks – what about specs?

The EPA hasn’t had a chance to test the HS250h, and Lexus isn’t spilling the beans on what they expect.  Suffice is to say that the HS250h will be the most fuel efficient Lexus, at least.  If it’s priced right ( always a concern ) it should be one of the best-selling, as well.  A regular looking sedan, reasonably priced, full of luxury features, and great MPG?  Not a bad formula for success.
