Dodge has finally figured out their problem. I know what some of you may be thinking – and the answer is no, they aren’t suddenly going to build high quality cars that people want to buy. Instead, they have, in all their wisdom, decided to – get this- change the trim level names on nearly all their vehicles.

What, no applause?
Gone are the silly, boring trim level designations like SE and SXT. Instead, here are a sampling of what’s available:
Journey Express, Hero, Heat, Crew, and Uptown.
Nitro Heat, Detonator, Shock
Caliber Express, Mainstreet, Heat, Uptown, Rush
Avenger Express, Heat
I’m sure you’ll understand when I say Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Will there suddenly be a rush of buyers running toward Dodge showrooms to pick up a Caliber Uptown? Surely it was the awful trim level names that was holding everyone back previously.
For some reason, Dodge left alone the Challenger and Grand Caravan – they still have the regular SE / SXT / RT / etc trims. No word on the Charger, but I ask simply, does anyone actually care?
