Take a look at this. Chevy has been playing up the Chevy Cruze hype pretty strongly lately. With the utter failure that the Cobalt is, I’m not surprised. Based on the exterior shots, the Cruze really didn’t impress me much at all. Sure, it’s better looking than the Cobalt. But that’s not really saying much, now is it?
This shot, this single picture, changes my mind completely. If Chevy brings the Cruze to the US market with this interior, then it will sell. It will sell in droves. People will actually visit Chevy dealerships looking for this car. Assuming quality is solid, and the price is right, the 2010 Cruze interior is fantastic. Stunning. It’s more reminiscent of a Malibu than a Cobalt. And that, my friends, is a very good thing indeed.

What makes you think the Cobalt is a failure? I see dozens of them on the road, and everywhere I go daily. You clearly are clueless. BTW, the U.S. doesn’t get the Cruze until the 2011 model year.
CB – have you had a chance to sit in / drive a Cobalt? 2 minutes inside and I think you might change your mind – it’s an awful vehicle. The reason so many are on the road is because they are cheap, cheap, cheap. Chevy has to give them away…. otherwise no one would buy them.
Plus GM frequently complains about being unable to profit from small cars. Notice that Honda and Toyota don’t make this claim… their compact offerings are much higher quality than the Cobalt, and are able to command more money.
