2010 Chevy Camaro pricing starts at $22,995

2010-chevrolet-camaro Whenever the 2010 Camaro finally shows up at dealer’s lots, it may prove to be one of the greatest performance bargains in recent memory.  The V6 powered LS model will start at $22,995, and the V8 powered SS model starts at $30,995.  And yes, those prices do include destination charge.

While I’m a huge fan of the SS ( 422 HP and 408 lb-ft of torque will do that to you ), I think the real story here is the V6.  Remember, this is not like the lowly Mustang V6, no sir.  The 3.6 liter V6 in the Camaro will put out a healthy 300 HP, and 273 lb-ft of torque.  For under $23 grand.  Show me where else you can get that.  You also get a six speed automatic transmission, four wheel discs, traction control, 18" wheels, and independent rear suspension.  Did I mention it’s under $23 grand?

If you step up to the big boy SS, your 422 HP get channeled through a six speed TR6060, and you get upgraded to Brembo brakes.  $31 grand is awfully cheap for over 400 horses.  Ford had better have some huge upgrades in store for the Mustang, or else it just won’t stand a chance.
