The Nissan GT-R may be the most anticipated car ever, in the history of automobiles. Such hype has surrounded this car as has never before been seen. Considering the cult following that the previous Skyline GT-R models have enjoyed in Japan, it’s really no surprise. What you’re looking at here at the first officially official pictures of the GT-R – no body cladding or camouflage to be seen here.
The “unofficial” official specs look like this:
- 473 HP / 434 lb-ft of torque Twin- turbocharged 3.8 liter V6
- ATESSA AWD
- GR6 dual-clutch six speed automatic transmission ( no stick available ? )
- Paddle shifters
- Base price less than $80,000
- 0-60 MPH in 3.5 seconds
- Quarter mile in 11.7 seconds
- Top speed : 192 mph
The pics are official, but the specs aren’t 100% yet. There is still a likelihood of more powerful models ( up to 530 HP ). Fortunately we can put all rumors to rest next week, once Nissan unveils all the goodies at the Tokyo Motor Show.
As for looks – this car has it. It pulls off the exotic look beautifully, and still does it with Nissan flair. The interior is stylish but not too crazy. The exterior is where it’s at though – from the aggressive grille to the daring side to the gorgeous rear end, the GT-R doesn’t disappoint.
