Who cares, I do. The Milan and Fusion are the best vehicles in their class. The Toyota and Honda are over rated and have if anything become cult vehicles of the anti establishment, anti USA of the flower power generation and their off spring. I’ve ridden in both the Honda and Toyota and they made me fell like I was riding on top of a hay wagon being pulled across a bumpy hayfield. Their ads have been created to implant a false belief that their quality is superior, it is not, and the more products they make the more their quality fails. The parts that go into their products will have poor tolerance as more are made which will cause failures to increase and this is already becoming a reality and has been confirmed with their slipping quality ratings.

On our last trip my wife and I had the opportunity to drive a 2008 Mercury Milan Premier on the first leg of the trip and 2008 Honda Accord on the second leg. My wife raved about the Milan, particularly its comfort, and was totally unimpressed by the Accord (actually, she disliked it). (She also preferred riding in the Milan to riding in my BMW 325xi … and while I wouldn’t go that far, I was pleasantly surprised by the Milan’s ride, handling, and comfort and I, too, preferred it to the Accord.) BTW, the Milan’s trunk also was roomier than that of the Accord’s. Had we not driven the Milan, we certainly would not put it on our list when it comes time to replace her car. But we will now. Nice job, Ford (for a change)!

What do you mean? I’ve owned 40 cars in my whole life, and currently I have a new Mercury Milan 4cylinder and a new Chevy Malibu, and both cars are excellent. I have to say, the Milan is more roomy and rides better.
