The 2009 Ford Fusion Hybrid gets caught on camera – and it looks, well, just like a Ford Fusion is expected to look. There are some minor changes here and there ( as 2009 is the Fusion refresh year ), but nothing earth-shattering. Power is expected to be produced by a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder engine hooked up to the electric motor / battery combo, likely similar to the Escape Hybrid system.
No word on estimated fuel economy, but I think low-mid 30’s should pretty much be a lock. The Camry is rated at 33/34 for the 2008 model year, and the Fusion shouldn’t be too far off.

the fusion hybrid will get 41mpg highway and 35-38 mpg city. and only about $1000 more than the camry hybrid.
