2009 Corvette ZR1 Specs Finalized – Oh My

2009-corvette-zr1-engine Remember the tentative ratings of 620 HP and 595 lb-ft of torque for the Corvette ZR1?  Well, Chevy did not hit those numbers – they were quite a bit off.  Hold your disappointment though – the supercharged 6.2 liter mill managed to beat the estimated numbers.  The final, official numbers, you ask?  638 HP and 604 lb-ft of torque.  Your jaw probably just banged against your desk – don’t worry, you can get ice later.  For now just marvel in the stunning numbers that Chevy managed to squeeze from the ZR1.

The EPA hasn’t finished up testing the ZR1, but Chevy expects it to be the most fuel-efficient 600 HP car in the world.  Considering the elite company, that shouldn’t be a hard target.

I have updated my 2009 Corvette ZR1 page with the new specs.
