2009 Cadillac XLR Spy Shots

The fine car blog that is Jalopnik got their hands on the first shots of the  2009 Cadillac XLR – Caddy’s Corvette-based roadster.  The current XLR is a re-worked C5 Corvette, so the 2009 XLR is going to be based on the new C6.  Better chassis, more power, same sexed-up body.  Buyers of the XLR also get a folding hardtop instead of the normal ragtop in the Corvette convertible.  We will know hard specs this summer, but expect a base 430ish horsepower, just like the Corvette.  We’ll also see an XLR-V if we’re lucky, with 500+ ponies under the hood.  That is a Caddy I can get on board with.
