2009 Acura TSX Preview

2009 Acura TSX Pre-Debut Acura is tired of all the 2009 TSX spy shots, and released the first official image of the new model.  Featuring a toned-down version of the 2009 RL grille, the new TSX has a bit more aggressive look than the outgoing model.  It is supposed to be an all-new model, based on the new European Accord – still (thankfully) smaller than the American Accord.

There’s no word yet on hardware, other than speculation that the 2.3 liter Turbocharged mill from the RDX may find a home under the hood.  That may put the power well into TL territory, which is a big fat no-no.  Especially considering the price difference.  A new TL is set to be announced later this year though, but no word on it’s specs.

Dick Colliver, an Acura executive vice president says this – “The TSX is a significant step in the advancement of our sedan lineup and the continued enhancement of the Acura brand.”  Let’s hope he’s serious, and not just blowing smoke like auto execs are famous for doing.

The 09 TSX will be fully unveiled at the New York International Auto Show, on March 19th and 20th.
