Albert:
Five grand less and I'd think the STI would be closer to priced right. At the end of the day, it's still a compact hatchback, regardless of how badass it's engine is. Thirty five grand is a lot of cash for a car like that.....

Congrats on your purchase though. You did your homework and picked the car that worked best for you. Nobody can fault you for that. And you'll be having a blast tearing up the twisties in that thing.

I think I'd have to agree with the others Leroy. You keep saying it's too much, but you never mention the amount you're willing to pay for this fast, and I mean fast, sports car. I just recently got mine and contemplated whether or not on getting it. However, in the end, I'm glad I did. Believe me, it's worth every penny. Sure, there are a couple things that Subaru could have done better to the interior, but at this point, I consider that nit picking. I din't opt for the navigation system, but I did get the upgrade to the BBS wheels. Hope this helps any potential buyers.

you're not smart. it is still the best bang for the buck. nothing comes close. if you have a problem with the price tag blame bush and the plummeting dollar.

Wow. Very eloquent, I must say. I'm going to take a wild guess and say you're, oh, 17 years old, and mom and dad bought you a Legacy, or maybe a base Impreza. Am I close?

The STI is an impressive performance machine, but it's a TON of cash for a Subaru. I'm a Mustang fan, and love the Shelby GT500. BUT $43k+ for a Mustang is way too much to swallow, no matter how bad-ass it is.

There comes a point when too much is too much. The STI is probably at that point. The GT500 is probably at the point. If Chevy comes out with a $40k+ Camaro, it will be in the same boat.

Obviously you don't know much about the sti, not too mention performance. The 35k is not for an over priced interior like a lexus. You are paying for one of the most amazing machines you will drive. To get comparable performance, for that price, go buy a 75k Audi or BMW. Not to mention the sti kicks both their butts in safety and reliability. Do a little research and then you won't make yourself look like an idiot next time...
