Houston Cars

Here in the States, we don’t even know what a Mazda 2 is.  The Mazda2 is a small hatchback type vehicle that is currently sold is Europe and Asia.  The US hasn’t been a terribly strong hatchback market historically, and there’s no word yet on whether we’ll see the Mazda2 here.  If I had to take a guess, I’d say that we wouldn’t.  After all, the US has the Mazda3 hatchback, the Mazda6 wagon, and the Mazda5 hatchback/wagon/minivan.  This isn’t even counting the CX-7 crossover. 

There just really isn’t a spot in the US Mazda lineup for the Mazda2, so I don’t expect to see it here on our roads.
