2008 Dodge Dakota Spy Shot

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, right?  Well there you go, one thousand really offensive, ugly words.  Whaddaya think?

Straightline got ahold of this photo, which is reported to be the 2008 Dodge Dakota in disguise.  The grille looks like it was yanked off the hideously ugly Nitro - we certainly don’t need to go spreading that grille around anymore.

Word is that Dodge will drop the 3.7, and use the 4.0 liter V6 as the new Dakota base engine.  Supposedly we’ll also see some power bumps in the 2 V8 offerings.  Personally, I think that as long as a midsize truck has a good, solid V6, there is no need for a V8.  Just wastes more fuel and doesn’t get the job done any better.  If you need a V8, buy a full-size truck.  But that’s just MHO.
