So much for Chevy deciding not to overuse the SS badge. What you see here is the upcoming 2008 Chevy HHR SS, though it hasn’t been announced officially by the General. Supposedly the HHR SS is going to be packing the powerplant from the Pontiac Solstice GXP - a 260 HP 2.0 liter turbocharged four banger.

Production is likely to begin late this year, so look for the HHR SS early in 2008. Quite frankly, I’m not sure the world needs another HHR, and certainly not a fancier, more expensive one.
