2008 Bullitt Mustang Spy Shot

2008 Bullitt Mustang The Bullitt’s back – at least it will be in the very near future. The Mustang fans among us are already remembering the last Bullitt Mustang from way back in 2001. Just like last time, the Bullitt is all about what it doesn’t have, rather than what it does have. From StangNet’s info, it looks like these are the exterior changes:

  • No scoops ( side or hood )
  • No badges on fenders
  • No spoiler
  • No red calipers

The Bullitt takes a very minimalist approach to it’s looks – it’s a subdued beast. Exterior changes aren’t the only thing going on though – there is a small bump in power compared to the regular Mustang GT. Here’s a look at the under the hood changes:

  • 312 HP ( via Ford Racing Power Pack )
  • 3:73 gearing
  • Retuned suspension
  • Strut tower brace
  • X pipe
  • Special exhaust tips
  • 18″ Bullitt wheels

Ford will be offering the Bullitt in 2 colors instead of just one – you’ll have your choice of the traditional Highland Green or Black. This is departure from the traditional 1 color only that the previous Bullitt offered, but not a bad change. Green isn’t for everyone, after all.

No word on pricing yet – expect a couple grand more than the GT. You’re not paying for performance or upgrades, you’re paying to own a Bullitt. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it, simple as that.
