2007 Nissan Altima Hybrid Announced

It has been in the mill for awhile, but Nissan officially announced the Altima Hybrid at the Orange County Auto Show in California.

Nissan Altima Hybrid Specs

2.5 Liter Inline – 4 cylinder gas engine – 158 HP

Electric motor – 40 HP / 199 lb-ft of torque 0-1500 RPM.
Total power – 198 HP.

Gas Mileage : 41 city / 36 highway

Fuel tank size : 20 gallons

Emissions : Advanced Technology-Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle ( AT-PZEV )

Wow. The 2007 Altima is one sexy looking car – I don’t think anyone can argue with that. The exterior is very very clean, and the interior is a huge improvement over the current version. With a hybrid version available, the new Altima could be even more successful than Nissan dare dream. Keyless, push button starting and 41 MPG in an Altima? Where do I sign up? Nissan’s first entry to the hybrid vehicle is sleek looking. On the performance aspect, this would also be one of the top hybrid choice. No wonder as early as now, many are prefering this over the Camry hybrid.

Indeed, this Altima Hybrid will be the best looking of the Hybrid bunch. I hope they do roll it out to all 50 states- I wouldn’t mind taking this one for a spin.
