Ya Chevy uses blowers on some of their 4 and 6 bangers… but not on a V8 that I know of. It wouldn’t do much good to have Corvettes beating Porsches and whatnot, only to need an engine rebuild at 90k. Remember, one of the things that sets Corvette about Porsche is cost of maintenance / repair. An actual mechanic can work on a Corvette, while you need some sort of automotive high priest to fix a 911. Add a blower to the Vette and all bets are off.

I BEEN RESEARCHING AND THEY HAVE BEEN USING SUPERCHARGERS, AND IT’S NOTHING NEW TO CHEVY BUT…..MAYBE THEY SHOULDN’T BECAUSE THEY DON’T KNOW HOW TO USE ONE. I FEEL SORRY FOR THEM WHEN THE NEW SKYLINE AND TOYODA’S HYBRID SPORTS CAR COMES OUT. -_-

I don’t think Chevy will ever use forced induction on a Corvette, nor do I think they should. Turbo and superchargers tend to cause a TON of heat, and end up causing an unreliable engine as it ages.
Plus there’s the fun of turbo lag, and the incredible draining effect it has on MPG. Nope, I don’t see Chevy going that route with the Vette.

ARE THEY SCARED OF TURBOCHARGERS? ANYWAY I’M EXCITED ABOUT THE NEW LINEUP OF ALL THE COMPANIES NEW SUPER CARS- 2008 NISSAN SKYLINE GTR_2009ACURA NSX_200- TOYODA SUPRA REPLACEMENT.
