2007 Chevrolet Corvette Review

2007 Chevrolet Corvette The 2007 Chevrolet Corvette is the latest incarnation of an American legend.  The C6, as it is called by Corvette enthusiasts, was launched for the 2006 model year, and is the best, most powerful Corvette yet.  The base 2007 Corvette, if you can call it that, sports 400 HP from it’s 6.0 liter “small block” V8.  If you have the cash ( and cajones ) to step up to the Z06 - watch out!  The massive 7.0 liter, firebreathing V8 puts out an incredible 505 HP - that crushes many modern day supercars, for a fraction of the price.  Oh, and did we mention that the Z06 is still rated at 26 MPG on the highway?  Try getting that in a Ferrari.

2007 Chevrolet Corvette Reviews

Edmunds reviews the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette and writes - ‘Endless power from either snarling V8 combined with a tight suspension results in a sports car that never ceases to put a smile on your face. All three of the suspension packages deliver a compliant ride along with white-knuckled handling abilities. The 2007 Chevrolet Corvette can serve equally well as a comfortable touring car or world-class performance machine. The Z06 version is an unforgettable monster on the street that is still docile enough to serve as one’s daily driver.’

Car Gurus reviews the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette and writes - ‘Not to sound overly cheesy, but rarely does a car come along that inspires me to quote John Keats. Well, here’s the car - the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette - and here’s the quote: “A thing of beauty is a joy forever; its loveliness increases; it will never pass into nothingness.’

Cars Direct reviews the 2007 Chevrolet Corvette and writes - ‘Chevrolet Corvette is easy to live with, easy to drive and more fun than a Sony PlayStation. The ultra-high-performance Z06 model pushes the envelope for off-the-shelf production cars to limits hard-core enthusiast drivers wouldn’t have imagined a decade ago. For everyday driving, our choice is for one of the standard models, though we’d lie awake at night deciding between coupe and convertible before we even got to the whole color dilemma.’

  1. ARE THEY SCARED OF TURBOCHARGERS? ANYWAY I’M EXCITED ABOUT THE NEW LINEUP OF ALL THE COMPANIES NEW SUPER CARS- 2008 NISSAN SKYLINE GTR_2009ACURA NSX_200- TOYODA SUPRA REPLACEMENT.
  2. I don’t think Chevy will ever use forced induction on a Corvette, nor do I think they should. Turbo and superchargers tend to cause a TON of heat, and end up causing an unreliable engine as it ages.
Plus there’s the fun of turbo lag, and the incredible draining effect it has on MPG. Nope, I don’t see Chevy going that route with the Vette.
  3. I BEEN RESEARCHING AND THEY HAVE BEEN USING SUPERCHARGERS, AND IT’S NOTHING NEW TO CHEVY BUT…..MAYBE THEY SHOULDN’T BECAUSE THEY DON’T KNOW HOW TO USE ONE. I FEEL SORRY FOR THEM WHEN THE NEW SKYLINE AND TOYODA’S HYBRID SPORTS CAR COMES OUT. -_-
  4. Ya Chevy uses blowers on some of their 4 and 6 bangers… but not on a V8 that I know of. It wouldn’t do much good to have Corvettes beating Porsches and whatnot, only to need an engine rebuild at 90k. Remember, one of the things that sets Corvette about Porsche is cost of maintenance / repair. An actual mechanic can work on a Corvette, while you need some sort of automotive high priest to fix a 911. Add a blower to the Vette and all bets are off.
