2006 Top selling vehicles in America

The numbers are in for 2006 – the top selling vehicle numbers, that is. Looking down this list, there isn’t much to see that I wouldn’t have guess. The F-150 came out on top, like it always does. Silverado comes in second, though only technically. If GM didn’t separate the Silverado and Sierra, it would actually beat the F-150 for top honors.

Toyota’s vanilla-mobile – the Camry, rounds out the top 3. With the Ram in fourth place, that makes 3 out of the top 4 selling vehicles in the US full-size pickup trucks. Considering the sometimes crushing expense of gas, that’s pretty surprising.

The rest of the list is *yawn* , although seeing the Chevy Cobalt on there is a little surprising. I had no idea Chevy moved so many of the mediocre little things.

Here’s the list for your enjoyment, courtesy of MSN Autos.

1. Ford F-Series (796,039)
2. Chevrolet Silverado (636,069)
3. Toyota Camry (448,445)
4. Dodge Ram (364,177)
5. Honda Accord (354,441)
6. Honda Civic (316,638)
