1987 Buick GNX

1987 Buick Grand National GNX There aren’t many cars from the 80’s that send chills down my spine. This 1987 Buick Grand National GNX is one of them. This particular specimen is #359 in a production run of just 547, and has an insane 9.9 miles on the odometer.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the GNX, it was the ultimate Grand National, and was produce for just one year. The GNX packed a turbocharged 3.8 liter V6 under the hood, officially rated at 275 HP and 360 lb-ft of torque. Based on the fact that the GNX could sprint to 60 in less than 5 seconds and dash through the quarter mile in 13.5 seconds, it’s safe to say that the power numbers were grossly underrated.

I wasn’t able to find any best guesses for actual horsepower numbers, however. But based on the amazing acceleration and the fact that the GNX isn’t a particularly light car, you can bet the numbers are way way low.

Anyway, if you’re looking for the ultimate 80’s car, you can snag this pristine GNX for about 109k. Some of you might scoff and say that’s ridiculous, but the rest of us know better.
